Initially we went to the function room, and settled down. The hostess was in a sad situation as no one gave half a flying fuck about appreciating what she did. Anyway, the rest of the class were still having a good time, chatting etc. Some of them played cards, the rest played PS2.

Well, me kendric kailun and jack formed the 4 man squad and chatted over coffee. We all said goodbye to Helena, and, that was it, lol.

For half an hour we got lost in Boon Lay, but we got back. Went for dinner with Kendric and Jack and we started discussing about the typical "Tournament Movie".


A group of friends who specialize in *specific skill(SS)* are at their peak. Suddenly, a national tournament is organised and they begin to train hard in their SS. In one training session, Teammate A injures himself and will not recover in time for the tournament. The team has no choice but to go on a wild goose chase for a new member only to find that the best person for the job is a relative/friend of one team member. He shows great potential and is interested at first, but flops at the beginning and soon gives up. The team tries to train without him, but fails. The father of the newcomer gives him a pep talk, and he begins to train on his own. This normally attracts the attention of a once promiscous girl who is probably the best friend of teammate B, the only girl in the group *Cue training with no SFX and pure BGM, slow down whenever necessary* On the day of the tournament, usually 1 or 2 hours before. Both teams duke it out with their most amazing abilities. Entire protagonist team goes into depression as they think they did badly. Newcomer however, goes against the flow and believes they have won with their skill. Then, by a miracle choice/mistake the other team made/loophole in the tournament rules/disqualification due to cheating by the other team, THE PROTAGONIST TEAM WINS! They all run and hug the newcomer, who is overwhelmed by everyone, yet somehow manages to catch a wink from his new girlfriend(teammate B's best friend). *Play loud motivating BGM* Teammate A is seen either watching the tournament from the hospital bed or standing with crutches. He smiles and says something to newcomer's father. The final scene involves the protagonist walking in the sunset with his father/girlfriend. If with girlfriend, he will quote his father, and they share a passionate kiss. If with his father, the girlfriend has moved away although she loves him, but he still appreciates everything his father did. The other party will say something smart ass, and the newcomer will realise he's forgotten something(either literally or metaphorically). *Play either motivational music/Slapstick Comedy/Give a moral of the story* *Roll credits*

Yesterday, I grudgingly arrived in school in Full Uniform. Helped the sec 1s with all their awards and stuff. And then and ONLY then did I realise I was in charge of Frog group. Omg froggyyyyyy

THE CAMPSITE WAS AT DAIRY FARM LAH. Which is like, 1km away from my house, then I went to Clementi and back like a moron.

I hum the challenge pole, think I climbed too fast and then lost all control of myself lol. In the end I tossed myself off the pole as if I was jumping anyway.

Sec 1s were basically out of control until officer JT planned a muster parade at 12am for them inFull Uniform. Just to get them in line. Thank Goodness it was cancelled.

The food in moe dairy farm adventure standard sucks even for camp food standard. The cabbage tasted like it'd been braised in formeldahyde. And the liquid in the cooler dispensers is just coloured water, no kidding.

The entire camp was spent fearing to wear Full Uniform. I once again wore it against my will.

The night was hell considering the door was beside me with a light shining brighter than the sun. Kailun and Marcus had somehow positioned themselves nicely and I couldn't stretch open my legs. LIANGJIE SNORES. LOUDLY.

So, I spent drill teaching Haixing, the new guy. Didn't get to test the sec 1s at all, haha. No full commands. Still, I got to kind of inspect their Full Uniform.

Saw Xueyao, sally and (i think) their primary school friends at Plaza Sing just now. Then after drum, had a haircut again.

Am going to airport now, discuss Chinese with yuyong and send Auntie Debra off. She's going back to Brisbane with Sarah. Well, another 2 years before we see her again.

Basically for the entire weekend I stayed inside my room half the time and spent the other half of the time sitting on a sofa. And travelling around.



After drum, these were the unfortunate 2 faggots who ruined my train ride to Pasir Ris. Firstly, there were no seats available, acceptable. Secondly, the train was rather full. Now, it would've been totally fine if they hadn't been holding hands through the three pronged handle. This prevented me and 5 others from getting well needed support instead of ambling around like morons. To make things worse, Mr(s) and Mr(s)[S is purely optional] I-wanna-make-love-to-another-guy-and-an-MRT-pole-handle-during-a-train-ride clung onto the pole for dear life, even at Kembangan, where they got off. It took them till the warning siren that doors were closing for them to finally relinquish their passionate grip on the seductively slim silver pole and make a break for the door.

Needless to say, unknownst to them, it was quite a scene.

At NUH today, after my ankle injection I spotted one of those ceiling rails that used to transport documents from department to department 10-20 years ago, and I spotted this.


The rail ends at the left side. The track can apparently shift up and down to facilitate movement from the lower rail to the upper one. But is this really necessary? Wouldn't it just save time, money, and effort to just have the lower rail turn 90 degrees to the right?





This one really takes the cake. West coast HWAY? Is that a new road? Or is it Hokkien for flower? Or is it missing a box sign or a slash? Perhaps a separating period?

After that I played with him a bit, and we went home. I slept for about 2 hours before we left the house once again to go to Auntie Sharon's. Went over to Fort Canning and picked up Vivien before we headed to Marine Parade.

Stoned in Auntie Sharon's for about an hour playing with a giant kiwibird marionette. We then went down to the Thai restaurant to celebrate Ahgong's 85th birthday!

Sadly, he has to go for many operations.

After the entire dinner, which incidentally wasn't that good. We got into the car and headed for Seletar camp. the drive to Jalan Kayu was freaking long, winding from marine parade to payar lebar to HOUGANG before we reached.

Caught a glimpse of the PeiHwa Foundation site. Yannick dropped off for 5 minutes to buy 豆花。 It wasn't that sweet but it was silky and soft. Real nice on the tongue.

Talked with everyone for the entire journey about Singapore's flaws etc. Yannick dropped off with his giant load of tofu-based products for his bunk mates. D: Sad, he has duty tomorrow. Which meant he booked out yesterday only to book in today.

Vivien was then *almost* alone for the next 20 minutes. I think if I hadn't been in the car she'd have died of mom and dad's pressure aura. From seletar we sped up the SLE into the BKE and then into the KJE(okay i'll stop it lol) and then into Jurong.

My butt was like burning the leather seats. It was bloody warm and wrinkled when I got up lmao.


Was looking at class photos a while ago. You realise every class is a very messed up jumble of people. The people of the present and the people of the past form a stark contrast and its just too obvious.

Like I wrote in English paper 1, we're going through a forge. The products are heavily dependent on what goes in, and a skilled smith will never produce works of art the same.

Monday, had Zhipeng, Eddie, Kailun, Weiliat, Yisen, Bryan and Kendric. And we kept playing PS2 lolo. Winning Eleven was super fun AGAIN. 205 on ostritches vs 205 on raptors lmao. Feathers and scales. After that Kailun played some Gundam game that was similar to the DBZ one.

At first when I played, I was doing okay against him. Then I realised I picked a foot soldier mobile while Kailun picked one of the main character's. Lucky my pilot is Kira lol, added stats. But I still lost D:

I found out when I remembered I had 320 hp for one bar, while Kailun had 470. And then when weiliat and bryan played another game they both had over 600++. Shit

After that we played Smackdown vs Raw. WWE. Keelun became TaoSaPiah. Still shit lousy stats. Kailun also edited a char out called Hard Gay - Finishing move : Stinkface. Then when kendric used it he got knocked out for over a minute and didn't even twitch.

Fatal four way matches = 3 man FFA + 1 player vs the Ref. The ref doesnt even fight back.


Yesterday, stoned in the morning because com is down. Kendric came over and then we waited for my grandmother to come back with lunch. I then changed out of my class jersey because it looked like shit with my pants. Changed to a black shirt.

Took 180 to boonlay and had icecream while bryan nicky and zishuo had mcdonalds lunch. We then took 172 toward the place unknown to everyone.

Yisen's best quote of the day was "Eh, if you guys wanna get off you better get off quick. If not the next stop for this bus is going to be the expressway"

So we got off in the middle of nowhere and just played around before walking a desolate path beside westwood secondary school. We went right for 200 metres and entered the compound before going left another 300 metres into the courts. Stupid design.

Eddie cut his finger on the fence :O So sad. it was quite deep and some of the flesh was bulging out.

Then only Benny was waiting for us. Somehow one of us had said something like "He was bringing his buddies to play soccer with us". In actual fact, his 'buddies' - us lmao

The court is HOT. Aside from the really low net ceiling, the artificial grass is quite soft and suitable for diving lmao. But there's like all this black rubbery grains like the ones you normally find in playgrounds. It gives a kind of "kick dust up" effect whenever the ball lands.

We played the best we could play. Kendric - man of the match, his defending skillz shoot upxorz. Then there was this 8 second period where yisen successfully tackled eddie and then dribbled the ball forward. Everyone was just stunned it happened, and it did.

After the soccer me bryan and nicky stupidly took MRT all the way from boonlay to Pasir Ris. Arrived there at like 7.30. Along the way we were talking about our 105/205 past. Great memories lol.

At the barbecue, saw amanda wave to us while we just didnt bother. Lolol. She emo because she thinks her hair is ugly :O is it?

She fed the cats with sardines can. And they enjoyed it, I felt good for her lol. She really liked the cats.

Then after the whole thing(in which people pangseh and go eat mcdonalds and play arcade) We missed the last 354 bus to Pasir Ris MRT and we had to walk back ._.

We chionged up one train and took like 2 rows of seats facing each other. During the super long MRT ride Kendric called me up and asked me about the PSP lite deal, $400 for the psp + 4gig memory card + cover + screenthingy. Okay la. But mind you it was at like 11.15pm at night.

So after that Chao got a fat malay woman as a stead. Junwee had some unshaved fat chinese guy as a stead. Lmao.

I missed the last bus of 184 so I took MRT up to Choa Chu Kang and took LRT down back home.
It felt exactly like walking home at 8pm just that the air was much colder and was much quieter.

Back to school tomorrow. I think from now on I'll be playing a LOT of pool considering I have no com. Just after I topped up 10k Acash too. Shit

A year ago I was thinking how I was ever going to live through sec 3 EOY, but here I've done it.

Sadly, I didn't even catch a single big breakfast at Mcdonalds even once during the whole EOY period, as opposed to the 8 which I had last year :( Shows the real need to study

Couldn't play my drums today because Ahma was at home. Her eyes are already weakened by cataract, I don't wanna screw her ears also.

Played a bit of Maplestory today; I managed to sell my newfound scrolls, earned a measly 3m. I still need good gear before I can train. I found a 33 accuracy guanyu polearm :O i hope it can sell well.

I DIED TWICE with my archer. Making the total wasted exp this year to about 70%. Dammit, could've leveled. Seriously folks, its not easy to be an archer. We go through the toughest shit and the most underestimation in order to achieve the highest attack power in 4th job. Whenever you see a Bow Master or a high level ranger, fame him. Its from me. We have this little cozy community in Henesys where everyone just likes each other :D

Capillaries - Smallest blood vessels that one-cell thick walls called the endothelium, which is partially permeable. Numerous branches provied a large surface area for the exchange of substances between blood and tissue cells.

Veins - Carry blood back to the heart


Arteries :
Have thick elastic walls to withstand high blood pressure which are stretchable. This helps to push the blood in spurts along the artery and gives rise to the pulse.

Veins :
Contain valves to prevent backflow of blood. Movement of blood along the veins is assisted by the action of skelletal muscles conracting and compressing the vein, increasing blood pressure in the vein to move blood more quickly.


Double circulation is simply when blood passes from the heart, to the rest of the body and back to the heart(systematic) and from the heart to the lungs and back to the heart (pulmonary)


The heart has the left and right atriums(A) and ventricles(V).

When the right A contracts, blood flows into the right V.
When the right V contracts, the tricuspid valve between the right A and V closes to prevent backflow of blood.
Blood leaves the right V through the pulmonary arch toward the lungs.(Low pressure for more time for gaseous exchange)

When the left A contracts, oxygenated blood flows into the left V
When the left V contracts, the bicuspid valve between the right A and V close to prevent backflow of blood.
Blood leaves the left V through the aortic arch toward the rest of the body.(High pressure)

When the Vs contract, the closing of the bi/tricuspid valves cause the loud 'lub' sound. Blood flows into pulmonary arch for right side, aortic arch for left side. Systole(high pressure)
When the Vs relax, the drop in pressure causes the semilunar valves in the two arches to close, producing the dub sound, preventing backflow of blood into the ventricles. Diastole(low pressure)


Heart attack and Angina
Lumen of arteries are deposited to fat and are close to being completely blocked. Any part of the heart that does not receive enough oxygen in time dies. Affected arteries have rough inner surfaces and may develop blood clots easily, which may cut off supply of blood and oxygen to the heart muscles.

When the heart muscles are damaged, a heart attack occurs.

Carbohydrates :

Glucose, Fructose, Galactose
Disaccharides(two sugars) -
Maltose, Sucrose(Glucose + Fructose), Lactose(Glucose + Galactose). Fructose is normally present in plant material.
Polysaccharides(many sugars) -
Starch(main form of storage for carbos in plants)
Glycogen(main form of carbo storage in animals and FUNGI)
Cellulose(Cell wall in plants, cannot be digested, used as fibre)


Uses of carbohydrates include : Support structures(cell walls), substrate for respiration(energy), converted into other organic compounds, formation of nucleic acids and bodily lubricants

Found in foods such as : Rice, Noodles(pastas included you noobs), Breads, Sugar lmao

Deficiency leads to : Death


Fats

Organic compounds made of C, H and O but contain much less oxygen in proportion to hydrogen

Fat test -> Ethanol emulsion test : White emulsion = Fatass food

Uses of fats : Storage of energy,insulating material, essential part of protoplasm, reduce water loss in skin(WTF LOL)

Found in foods such as, Kenpachi Fried Chicken.


Proteins

Complex organic substances C, H, O. N and possibly S. Always present in protoplasm.

Made up from amino acids(Trivia, contains NH2 and COOH group)

Uses include : Synthesis of new protoplasm, growth and repair of cells, formation of enzymes/hormones/antibodies

Found in food such as : Eggs, Milk, Meats, Legumes

Deficiency leads to : Kwashiorkor - Swollen stomachs, crack and become scaly.


Vitamin C

Found in fruits and vegetables. Fruits with high concentrations of vitamin C include Grapefruits and Guavas.

Deficiency leads to : Scurvy - Bleeding gums(most obvious danger)


Iron

Found in various sources, vegetables and meat both. Liver is rich in iron, so are potatoes.

Excessive consumption causes one to be attracted to magnetss
Deficiency leads to : Swollen joints



Enzymes

Biological catalysts that can speed up a chemical reaction by reducing the activation energy required for the reaction to take place, WE KNOW THIS ALREADY

Enzymes catalyse digestion, are vital in anabolic(building with basic substances) and catabolic(destroying to get basic substances) processes. They are supposedly highly specific in their reaction. Certain enzymes only catalyse certain reactions, but there's nothing genetic mutation can't solve :D

Lock and Key HYPOTHESIS ->Reactions depend on presence of active sites, the substrate and enzyme 'fit' together forming an enzyme-substrate complex. After the complex separates, the enzyme molecule is unchanged at the end of the reaction.

Have an optimum temperature of usually around the 40 - 45 degree celsius range. This is due to the greater KINETIC ENERGY the enzymes will have, more effective collisions can occur when... *refer to Chemistry Matters - Rate of reaction*

Are affected by pH, enzymes in stomach like acid, in intestines like alkali. But usually work best at neutral.

Kuanyuan and Zhiwei will remember the time when I washed my clothes at Everly Hotel Resort just because they stank to high heaven. Then I even hung them out on the balcony and then ironed them at max temperature. That same night I caught a cold and tried to remedy it by eating coconut pudding, cup noodles, and guzzling down coke and chips. Kueirong can also testify :D
